Lots of fun with this one. This is the kind of a show that every

brother and sister that would like to, almost practical jokes that they would like to play on each other.

bros. I want to dive right into this, Chris. Set us up,

season three, episode 58. When was that on? Well, this is the private ear. First aired November

12, 1971, the ninth episode of season three in the 58th episode in total created by sherwood

schwartz our executive producer written by michael morris directed by hal cooper no guest

stars on this episode this is all bradies one go at each other one we had one guest but it was

inanimate it was the tape recorder.

So, now, what I want to bring up right from the get-go is the timing of this.

This is the summer of 1971 that we're doing the show.

Matter of fact, we shot it in Augustust uh 23 august 24 august 25

1971 are you thinking politics here is this where you're going because there's actually a line

later that references that now that could have been bob's it was bob's line something he

twisted or made um to reference is a parallel uses the word administration.

Because this is Peter with the tape recorder.

And bugging and leaking was all over the news in the preceding year because of the Pentagon

papers and then the White House plumbers.
