I'm Jim Chapman.

And today I'm going to tell you about a former resident of the United States largest maximum security prison, Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, and for sure,

one of its most notorious inmates, and that is Lil Boozy, later known as Boosy Badass. Now, Lil Boosie did not start

out being named Little Boosy, of course. His given name is Torrance Hatch Jr. He was born in Baton Rouge,

Louisiana. This was on November 14th of 1982, and he grew up on the rougher side of Baton Rouge, to put it mildly.

The neighborhood he grew up in, it was notorious for its struggles with guns and violence.

And he also had to deal with the struggle of losing his father at a very early age in life.
