Turn your Bibles to 1st Corinthians, Chapter 6.

I know we're in a series on the 10 Commandments,

but I really want you to see this scripture,

and you can see it on the screen,

but you might want to call it up on a device or something so you can

follow it. We're in a series called relationship through God's top 10 and I just

want to remind us that God gave us the 10 words,

that's literally what they're called, not the 10, they are called the 10

Commandments in three places in scripture.

But it's in Greek the Decalog, which are the 10 words, and he gave us these, I believe, for relationship.

I told you a few weeks ago, if you remember, that he didn't say to Israel when they were in bondage

you guys straighten up and get out of bondage and first by doing these ten things and then I'll have a relationship with you.

He delivered them from their enemy just like he did with us through Jesus, salvation, and

then he says now let me give you some principles that will enhance our

life together and your lives with one another and so if we can see the 10

Commandments and say what are the principles behind the Commandments that still relate to us today that the New Testament affirm and how will these principles enhance my relationship with God and with others.

That's what I think we need to see.

And so we're on the seventh commandment and I'm calling it the principle of intimacy.

I believe this tells us how to have intimacy with God and with each other and especially in marriage because of what it refers to.

So we're on the seventh commandment and it's Exodus chapter 20, verse 14,

you shall not commit adultery.

Five simple words, you shall not commit adultery.
