In this special episode of Fingers Crossed, Sierra takes over SOLO on the first truly solo episode of the podcast to date! Sierra talks all about her experience working at Disneyland from when she first got hired in her freshman year of college, to recently hanging up the crown last July. She answers listener questions like her favorite part about working there, how the magic changed when she became an employee, and the wildest thing a child ever did to her (major yikes). She also discusses how she knew when it was time to say goodbye to the job she loved, and the lessons that come with moving on.

0:00.0 | Hello everybody and welcome back to Fingers Cross podcast episode 66. |
0:16.0 | This one's a little bit different. I'm Sierra. Hi, introducing myself to those who don't know me. If you're new |
0:21.7 | here, welcome. And if you are returning, welcome back. You may notice that someone very important |
0:28.0 | is missing from today's episode. And that is my darling best friend, Christy, who many of you know |
0:33.9 | if you've listened to last week's episode or if you just follow Christy general know that she's actually in Europe right now on a work trip which is |
0:41.9 | insanely cool I am beyond jealous I think everyone's a little bit jealous that she's been in |
0:47.0 | Paris for a little bit and then Belgium and then now she's in the Netherlands and I've just |
0:53.0 | been following her Instagram story and it is so |
0:54.9 | cool. But anyway, that is where she is currently, which leaves me your girl Sierra hosting the |
1:01.1 | podcast by myself this weekend, which is equally exciting and also terrifying. And I don't know |
1:08.5 | why I got so nervous about it. I mean, I guess they say that you hold |
1:12.5 | excitement and fear in the same place in the body. So I guess I'm just experiencing both those at |
1:17.6 | the same time. And I've done so much hosting in my life and like YouTube videos and on camera |
1:22.9 | stuff. Like, it shouldn't be that scary for the thought of me to not have someone else to talk with |
1:27.6 | but I think the big difference is is that I'm not actually engaging with anybody else during this |
1:34.1 | hour so there's no one else to fill in the blanks because even when I did my solo episode before |
1:39.7 | I had Jason with me kind of as my guest and we talked about relationships and everything. |
1:44.6 | And then when Christy did her kind of solo about grad school, I was still there kind of prompting |
1:49.5 | her with questions. So this is the first time in the year and almost year and a half that we've |
1:55.8 | had fingers crossed that we've actually had like a legit solo episode. So I hope I do it justice, but I'm so excited to be |
2:02.7 | here with you guys today. And my topic that I'm going to be talking about today is a little bit |
2:08.4 | about my Disney experience. And if you guys knew already, I was a Disney employee for a little over |
