Summary

In a detailed ruling, the court has rejected Prince Andrew’s motion to dismiss the civil sexual assault lawsuit brought against him by Virginia Guffrie who alleges she was trafficked to Prince Andrew by Jeffery Epstein. Even though this ruling is fairly standard it seems to have triggered a large response from The Queen who stripped Prince Andrew of his titles, and he will no longer be able to call himself HRH. This suit has a long way to go and the challenges from Prince Andrew are far from over, but this early litigation gave us some clear indication of how the defense will be attacking this suit.

0:06.3	going to cover any of the civil suit regarding Prince Andrew. And today is the day that we are
0:13.6	going to be talking about it mostly because there's a ruling out of the court that is helpful to
0:18.2	break down. And then he was stripped of his titles and patronages and did I say that horribly
0:25.7	weird sorry to all of my beloved UK audience and other Commonwealth audiences around this fair
0:35.5	globe. I am hopelessly American sometimes and I will do my best to break it down. Look,
0:41.5	all of my understanding of British life comes from not only the crown and the clash,
0:50.7	but yeah, that no, that's a bit. And to those of you in my audience that are British and share
0:57.2	your experiences with me. So with that said, I am going to be breaking down the court's latest ruling,
1:05.2	the road ahead because this latest ruling, though the headlines have made this like,
1:11.1	it's a huge deal. I want to tamper that a little bit because though it is a significant ruling,
1:19.1	it by no means for stalls, the lengthy legal battles to come. And I want to make sure that we,
1:26.8	as law nerds, have a realistic perspective of the road next because that's part of breaking down
1:33.3	this ruling. It's not like, all right, go into trial. He's totally host. Nope. There's a lot
1:39.8	that I've read into this pretty lengthy ruling from the court. The court made clear their opinions
1:46.6	on a few things, which is I'm living for. And the queen it seems have made has made her opinion clear
1:53.2	by returning all of his titles back to the crown. So we also have some statements from the lawyers
2:00.6	involved in this case that have come out since this court ruling. And we should just get into it.
2:05.4	I'm going to do a brief kind of timeline of where we're at. So for those of you that haven't been
2:09.3	following this story super closely, hopefully it will give a minimal amount of background to
2:13.7	understand this court ruling. For those of you that have been following this very end up,
2:17.9	hopefully we can just scoot through what you already know and get into breaking down this ruling.
