Welcome back to this week's episode of the Emily show.

Today, we are talking about yet another Alec Baldwin lawsuit.

I know, I know this one has nothing to do with the movie rust.

And y'all are like, wait, what?

Yeah, this is a 25 million defamation suit.

And though Alec Baldwin is not my favorite, I don't, I don't know about this

lawsuit. I've got some thoughts.

So today, I'm going to break down what this lawsuit alleges, who the parties

involved are and what the law in Wyoming says, and my initial thoughts on this,

of course, which are subject to change if more information becomes available.

But just looking at this lawsuit on its face, it's going to, there's going to be

some parts where it struggles.

There's some parts where I don't think it struggles, but there's definitely some

parts where it struggles.

And I'm going to talk about that.

We are living in definitely a new world of what and to what extent those who have

large following on social media are responsible for what those audiences do.

And I think this is going to, well, this is a politically charged lawsuit because it

is based around the events of January 6th and a Marine who was killed in the withdrawal

from Afghanistan and Alec Baldwin made this politically charged in his behavior, but

also the lawsuit doubles down on that charge.
