Hey, this is Beth. Listen, what we live for at Living Proof is to serve people the Word

of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 4.12 that tells us that the Word is alive and

active. We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today and that God is

going to speak through it. Thank you so much for giving us this privilege.

Verse 14 goes on to say, after Moses had gone down the mountain to the people, he consecrated

them and they washed their clothes. When it says he consecrated them, he very likely

told them because it means to declare holy. And sometimes I think, I'm not positive

of this. This is something you just take down in mental pencil. You don't take this

one down in current marker. But I think that he declared them holy before they then

begin to respond to that holiness. That's happened never one of us. If we'd really

get this upon receiving Christ as our personal Savior, it would have been upon understanding

we've been declared holy that if we get that into our belief system, get it on down in

the mirror, we'd start responding to it. Then what does one who is holy do? So declare

as first to declare to treat as and then they begin responding back as ones who are holy.

Now I want you to notice something here because you're going to see that he's going to tell

them, he's going to even say in verse 15 that he said to the people, prepare yourselves

for the third day, abstain from sexual relations. Now was he by any stretch of the imagination,

giving any kind of negative shake of the head to intimacy between a man and his wife?

Absolutely not. That was a gift God had given his people and he had told them, you feel

the earth, feel the earth. But I go back to that part of the definition that we just saw

for consecration to be reserved exclusively. There are times, there are times when God will

call us to a moment, a season, a day, two days, three days, a little while where he says,
