all month we're chatting with and celebrating LGBTQIA plus survivors. My name is Matt Scott

and I am here with the one the only the iconic survivor legend and hero in my opinion.

Evie Jakota, doctor. Evie Jakota. Evie, how are you doing?

Oh Matt, only you can make me this this smiley and energized at eight in the morning after landing

at a flight so late last night. So I'm so thrilled to be here with you. And I can't wait

to set up this wonderful interview that you ingraced it.

Yeah. And I mean, of course, wonderful to see you right back at you for 8 a.m. And yes,

like so far, we've talked with Carla, we've talked with high, I think phenomenal conversations

and interviews and Evie, do you know who this week's conversation is with? I mean, there's

the title of the episode, but you haven't seen that yet.

I do know I know that today or, you know, yesterday, you and Grace spoke with the

missy bird from a survivor season 39. And I'm so excited to get us into groups. I know in

particular that talking to missy was something you were extremely excited to do when you were

preparing the list. You were like, let's get missy. Let's make it happen. And I would just,

I would love if you could share with me, share with the people, you know, why this was so important to

you. And yeah, yeah, I'd love to. Yeah. Yeah. And I really like, I love our group of survivors in

this. I mean, all the pride is spoken people who've come in, but this has been such a great group of

folks. And missy, for me, not only in terms of being like another black person, a black queer person,

is someone who resonates, but I think for me, what so fascinating about missy and I think we saw

echoes of this with Bryce actually, which he talked about last year in his interview with you,
