The sun is the most precious treasure that God could have reached for to give.

So his love is measured by the treasure that he chose to give, and therefore it is infinite.

There's a second way to measure the love of God and that is the lack of worth in those to whom he gave the son,

namely the world.

And you take those two things together that Jesus is of infinite value and that we have no merit and no dessert of that gift at all and you put those two things together, that Jesus is of infinite value and that we have no merit and

no dessert of that gift at all.

And you put those two together and you know God.

We talk a lot about God's love, but sometimes I wonder if we've grown numb to how

shocking it really is.
