Summary

How many times, as a woman, have you been asked when you are going to have kids? How many kids do you want? And if you don't want kids, why don't you want kids? Or when are you planning to get married? Do you want to get married? Why aren't you married? Or if you're in a social setting, why aren't you drinking? Why don't you drink? Oh come on, just have one! Ugh, it does my head in... but it's seriously worth talking about. Let me know your thoughts over at @lozcurtis and @mentalmakeoverpodcast! Hi guys, my name is Lauren Curtis. I've been on social media since 2011 and since then I've grown a following of over 7 million people across my platforms. And I have learnt a lot along the way. The Mental Makeover podcast shares real, very honest advice on all things happiness, body image, self-love, relationships, spirituality and reaching your goals.

You know what I'm sick of? People having an opinion about things they don't deserve to have

0:31.2

an opinion about. Oh, okay, let me explain. I posted on Instagram the other day asking for suggestions on

0:41.8

podcast topics and one of them was about pressure to have children, pressure to drink alcohol,

0:52.6

pressure to do everything that everyone else does for fear of being

0:58.3

1:30.6

and questions a choice I've made, I think, first of all, why do you care? Second, why do you

1:40.4

think you have the right to make me second guess my own choice? Thirdly, how does this

1:48.3

affect you in any way? And then going back to number one, why do you care? Because I don't want to

1:55.8

sound negative. And this is already starting off on a ranty, anty foot, which is fine because, you know what,

2:01.5

it is a rant because I know from previous times that I've spoken about this topic,

2:06.7

there are so many people that are on my same page when it comes to this.

2:12.6

They're on the same page, they understand, they're totally on my side, they get it,

2:17.6

they're sick of it, They're sick of it.

2:18.3

They're sick of going through the same stuff that I go through when I say something that

2:23.4

isn't common amongst society.

2:27.5

It is the whole pregnancy thing.

2:30.3

When are you going to have kids?

2:32.0
