Even before the presidential election was called for Joe Biden, the former Vice President

promised to take the country's pandemic response in a dramatically different direction.

We want everyone, everyone to know on day one, we're going to put our plan to control

this virus into action.

We can't save any of the lives lost, but we can save a lot of lives in the months ahead.

This President-elect Biden on Friday night, the coronavirus was also a part of his official

victory speech on Saturday.

Our work begins with getting COVID under control.

We cannot repair the economy, restore our vitality, or relish life's most precious moments,

hugging our grandchildren, our children, our birthdays, weddings, graduations, all the

moments that matter most to us until we get it under control.

So today I'm going to break down the President-elect's plans for his COVID-19 task force and

also explain a possible breakthrough in the important race for a vaccine.
