A couple weeks ago, while self isolating at home, I found myself doing something that honestly, I never thought I'd do. I started prepping.

This is my wife Meredith and I taking inventory of the life saving equipment

and essential supplies that I purchased, like menstrual cups. We pack these in our go bags. Bags will grab and

carry out of our apartment with us in the event of an emergency. This is just one step in a process that a lot of people call prepping, which is just

shorthand for emergency preparedness.

Because we got, I don't know, I feel like if we have stains and we're still wearing the same clothes the whole time during the emergency.

No, this is on the same level.

Okay, so my wife and I disagree over whether stain remover wipes are an essential item, but I stand by the other stuff.

Because if the last few months have taught me anything, it's that you can't plan for a crisis.

But it does help to be prepared. And I'm not alone in thinking this way.
