0:00.0	First Chronicles 4, 9 through 10, we have been in this beautiful series. It's been life-changing for me.
0:11.5	Learning about a prayer made by a godly man in the Old Testament, learning about prayer as a church,
0:23.1	getting to do it together early in the mornings,
0:26.1	encounter nights on Thursday nights.
0:28.3	We're so beautiful.
0:29.3	It was so powerful.
0:31.2	And I'm going to have you actually, if you would please,
0:35.0	stand up and let's stand in the honor of reading God's word.
0:43.5	I'm going to read verse 9. And then when Jabez's prayer comes up, I'm going to have you read it
0:52.2	with me. Got it? Okay.
0:56.1	First Chronicles, chapter four, verse nine, says, now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers.
1:02.5	And his mother called his name Jabez, saying, because I bore him in pain. And Jabez called on the God of Israel Israel saying, oh, that you would bless me indeed,
1:14.3	and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil,
1:21.9	that I may not cause pain. And let's read this last sentence together. So God granted him what he requested.
1:32.7	Amen. Give some high fives, some thumbs up as you find your seat. Today is the finale of the best of both worlds.
1:59.3	And we're looking at J. Bez's finale. J. Bez's amen to his prayer.
2:05.8	He says, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain. And the title of my message
2:14.2	today is the prayer that overcomes curses. The prayer that overcomes
2:22.0	curses. We've been learning that from the day that J-Bez was born, he had been cursed. His mother
2:31.0	had a choice to bless him or to curse him, and she chose cursing.
2:38.5	We learned last week that she chose to speak over him death instead of life.
2:46.0	And she didn't just yell out in pain, which is normal for a woman giving birth.
