Summary

In this tenth message of The Prayer That God Answers, Dr. Michael Youssef exposes the sin of pride as Satan’s most dangerous weapon against the believer’s will. Through the petition, “Deliver us from the evil one,” Jesus calls His followers to reject the respectable sins of the spirit—stubbornness, jealousy, gossip, and self-glory. Dr. Youssef warns that while Christians rightly condemn the sins of the flesh, they often tolerate pride, the very sin that cast Satan from Heaven. True deliverance comes only through Christ’s death, His ongoing intercession, and the support of the Church. This prayer cannot be spoken by casual Christians but by those who humbly submit their will to the Lordship of Christ and seek His glory alone.
