and made headlines, not just because of his crime, but for his former acting credentials,

which included the role as the

Ricardo Medina Jr., Rick Tomeni, was born in Kern County, California, and, a little later in life,

dipped his toe in the pool of Hollywood and landed the role of Cole Evans.

Or, as you may remember him, the Red Wild Forest Ranger in Power Rangers Wild Force.

After about 40 episodes, he went on to play Villain Decker in Power Rangers Samurai, and later did some guest work on CSI Miami and ER.

But unfortunately for Rick, nothing seemed to boost his career post-Powrangers, and things, acting-wise, seemed to dry up pretty quickly.

Deciding to take some time off, this listless former actor crossed paths with a man named Joshua Sutter and forever changed his life and the lives of his family.
