And I'm going to just start by reading

a little bit of the chapter,

but I'm going to give you a little bit of background

For those of you who have not read this book

or who are not familiar with the story of Esther. Just a quick recap. Esther was

taken from her cousin Mordecai's home to the palace and she and other girls were put together to be able to receive

beauty treatments for a year before they met the king and the king was able to pick which woman he wanted to be his new wife to be the queen.

So all of the women went through this beautification process that lasted an entire year which is a very long time and before

reading this book and other things about Esther it just sounded so magical like oh wow you get whisked away to the palace and you get to

Dreamy, but the author does a really good job of showing you that it's not

necessarily what it seems even though it was a luxurious process it was also a painful process to be able to be prepared to

read from the beginning of the book just to give you a little bit of background and we are reading chapter 3, okay, on page 34. Esther's journey to greatness and influence did not happen overnight.
