2:22.0 | We need to learn how to allow ourselves to be vulnerable because, you know, if you have kids in your vulnerable and your kids see that, they will then allow themselves to be vulnerable growing up as well. |
2:33.0 | You know, in relationships, vulnerability is the very last thing that we want people to see in us. We don't want someone in a relationship with us to think that we're weak. |
2:43.0 | You know, it's the last thing that we want them to see in us, but they catch 22 is it is the very first thing that we want to see in them. |
2:49.0 | You know, we want to see them. We want to see the true them. We want them to let their armor down and to be their true selves. |
2:55.0 | You know, we want to know them. We want to know the real them, the person that they hide from everybody else. We want to see that person. |
3:03.0 | But we don't want them to see that person for us because we don't want them to think that we're weak. So it's a catch 22. It's hard. |
3:10.0 | So we have to learn to be vulnerable and be comfortable with it. You know, some people have been wearing a mask for so long that they don't even know who they really are. |
3:20.0 | You know, they don't show it to their friends. They don't show it to their partner. They don't show it to their kids. You know, it's just been so long that they've kept that armor up. |
