let's everybody turn, please, to James the third chapter and Proverbs the 18th chapter.

We're beginning a new series this morning. You ready? Well, we'll see.

If you believe you're ready, that's a long way down the road right there.

And you're talking right.

So James, the third chapter, James chapter three and verse 1

James 3 1 says my brethren

be not many masters

not all of you try to be teachers

knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation

in the King James that's a little bit archaic.

Being a teacher, an instructor, is not about being important, being a big shot.

It's responsibility.

You will be responsible for what you taught the people.

If you taught them wrong and it hurt them, you'll be responsible for what you taught the people. If you taught them wrong and it hurt them,

you'll be responsible for that and held accountable for that.

If you taught them right and it helped them, you'll be rewarded.

Amen.

But it's not just a matter of saying, hey, I know something to listen to me.

So don't everybody try to be a teacher just because of wanting to be seen.

Verse two, in many things, we offend all.

Now see, a teacher could miss it in what they said.
