But I think there's something really fresh with talking about this film the power of the dog directed by Jane

Campion it just came out. It's getting nominated for all kinds of awards. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch

Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, Cody Smith McFee

It's it's got a lot of attention and most recently it's stirred up a little bit of controversy

Which was my illusion at the very beginning with Zam Elliott

Basically coming out I would put that on the movie. I don't think the movie stirred up controversy

I think that an old man said something dumb or whatever. Well, here's the thing

So I saw this at the Sydney Film Festival and what people were talking about was the ideas that it brought up

So maybe not that it stirs up controversy, but it pokes the bear a little bit. It provokes

some kind of dormant

Long-held presumed ideas about masculinity about the West about America

All kinds of different things and so in that sense. I mean, it's a I think it is a provocative film

You know in a way, but I also think there's

You know, it's kind of tough to escape comparisons to broke back mountain as another movie about about gay galboys
