So I've been talking about the power of the cross. What I want to do is go back to the

Book of Galatians and begin to just amplify on some things.

Today we're going to talk about what is so offensive about the message of the cross.

Talking about the atonement of Jesus, that Jesus paid it all and it's not based on your performance,

it's all on what Jesus did.

Let's go back to the book of Galatians and look at this in Galatians chapter 3 verse 1. He said oh foolish Galatians who

hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth crucified

among you. Boy, there is a lot in that verse.

You know, one of the things I want to point out is that Paul wasn't trying to be

politically correct here. I mean Paul this is this is terrible. You know if I

was to come up and say you stupid idiots

what's wrong with you are you under a demonic deception?

That's basically what he's saying.

You know what I'd be criticized people to say you can't talk to people that way. That's exactly what Paul is saying here.

Let me just read this to you. I brought this up a number of other translations and here it's the same thing just said in different words.

This is out of the Phillips New Testament.

He says, oh, you dear idiots of Galatia.

Who saw Jesus Christ the crucified so plainly who has been casting a spell over you.

And let me just read some of the following verses.

This is through I think verse five or something.
