Welcome to our Rosary. I'm Dr. Troy Heckel. I'm here at this wonderful, beautiful parish queen of the Holy Rosary, aptly named to pray the rosary. Tonight, the Holy Rosary with the wonderful people here and with all of you.

And tonight we are especially offering this rosary to St. Joseph. The title of our rosary, in fact, is called

0:40.5

the power of St. Joseph. We call to mind that we are always and everywhere in the presence of

1:42.8

patterned after him in every human way, planned with every

1:50.0

grace to accomplish his great mission to be Jesus' human father when the fullness of time came.

1:58.5

The name Joseph means in Hebrew, Yahweh give an increase. St. Joseph is the very recipient

2:06.3

of this increase due to his relationship with Mary and Jesus, his foster son. Born in

2:13.2

Bethlehem, which means house of bread, we see him foreshadowed in the Old Testament by the Patriarch Joseph.

2:20.3

In the book of Genesis, Joseph stored grain for bread by being able to hear God in dreams

2:28.3

and discern the sign of the times, just like Joseph in the New Testament.
