Welcome to the Jill on Money Show. It is Sunday, January 1st. Happy New Year one and all. Okay, obviously I'm pre-taping this because, you know, we're not doing this on Sunday. But we are so happy that we are closing the chapter on 2022. I think it was a turbulent year for so many and the markets were

0:22.5

crazy. I guess the thankful part of it is that like hopefully that we've had that horrible year and

0:29.4

we can put it behind us and we have a different year ahead and there's always something different

0:33.9

you know, audio stories. And the founder, Dave Isay, used to recount this very. He would say that,

1:25.6

like, basically, when you have these conversations with your

1:28.6

loved ones, especially at the end of their lives, there are essentially four things that they

1:33.5

actually say. Okay, so it's obvious like, I love you, right? That's easy. Thank you. And then the other two,

1:40.9

forgive me. And the other one is I forgive you.

1:45.3

Oh, interesting.

1:46.1

So how do you think forgiveness plays into regrets?

1:49.7

It's a very, very interesting question.

1:51.4

And I think it plays in in two ways.

1:53.6

First of all, you had mentioned, Jill, that you tend to regret, your bigger regrets are hurting other people.

2:00.6

And that's the thing

2:01.7

that bugs you a little bit more than say a regret of you know not asking
