Welcome back to Good Mom's Bad Choices. I'm Erica and I'm Meela. Hey y'all! It's December! Power Moves December!

0:29.0

Welcome to the end of the year, bitches and gentlemen. We're almost there. We've almost made it through 2022. That's fucking crazy. It flew the fuck by. It really did. It really truly did.

0:46.0

It's kind of giving me anxiety. I'm excited, but I'm like a little anxious. But you know, this month has been really, I think, powerful, general. And in the spirit of Power Moves, we have brought you guys some powerful people that we are honored to know. And today I'm really, really excited because we have a special guest.

1:14.0

It's coming visiting us all the way from New York, Brooklyn, Baby, to be exact. We have Louise, co-founder of Sucia NYC. Thank you for joining us. Thank you for having me.

1:31.0

And we'll get into what Sucia is because me and Meela are abd fans of your community. I'll know this is your first time on the show. I have, you know, that we have spoken about Sucia many, many times. Yes, we have.

1:45.0

I'd like to jump in and say it's also your community as well. You know, there is no one person that belongs to and that's what I think makes it so beautiful.

1:53.0

Thank you. Thank you. It really, it feels that way, too, when we go. So can you maybe give our audience a little just a quick run through of what is Sucia NYC?

2:06.0

Sucia started as just a regular party. I used to bar it at a place called Madamex years ago. And my homegirl DJ, Juicy, shout out.

2:17.0

We started a party called Sucia. We thought about the name. I remember hearing the name a lot using a derogatory way towards women who were behaving like men.

2:29.0

Like dirty girls?

2:30.0

Dirty girls like Sucia. It's like Sucia Kaya. You know what I'm saying? Like just doing doing things that Niggas do. You know what I'm saying? It's like what?

2:39.0

That's she's a bad person now. And we did that party for a while and it kind of died down. And when my fiance and I were introduced to a more sex positive life, we decided to start it up again.

2:54.0

And I thought that it's a very appropriate name of, you know, just Sucia encompasses for me like dope feminine energy. And I don't want to be a part of anything that doesn't have dope energy, especially dope feminine energy.

3:10.0

I think that's key in particular dope black women energy. That's kind of what it's about and brown and indigenous, but you know it's black as fuck. That's how we try to keep it.

3:21.0

In shorter terms.

3:26.0

Luis.

3:28.0

Luis's community is Sucia is a pleasure party slash sex party. Correct?

3:35.0

It is that it's it's a lot more than that. So Sucia and YC as the umbrella, we incorporate Sucia dance, which is a dance party.

3:43.0

We also have Sucia play and we're working on Sucia health, which is basically going to address a lot of the issues that have been coming up when you have a sex positive space like hours when you create a safe space.

3:56.0

People feel comfortable and within that comfort, they're comfortable to show their traumas, you know, and you out of respect it.

4:04.0

So Sucia dance straight dancing like we're having fun where you know we're chilling. Sucia play.

4:11.0

All right is it's it's it's a sex party. It's it's it's essential event.
