You work with listings to create a career. At the start of the show, I talked about what happens when the excitement of the new year fizzles out, and why your business actions have to be driven by data and not emotion. Next, I talked about how focus on the smaller chunks of your goals helps you avoid distractions. I also shared on the importance of showing up to work everyday, even if you’re an independent contractor. Towards the end, I talked about the importance of having an accountability partner. I also spoke about: The importance and necessity of prospecting Why it’s so important to role-play and learn scripts The key to the whole 90-day cycle Our business goals have to be fact-driven, not emotion-driven. Even though our minds feed off of energy and positive belief, we need something guiding us, keeping us from losing momentum and getting demoralized. This is why breaking your year into 4 bite-sized pieces works. Your mind can see 90 days away, it can feel it, believe it and taste it. This allows you to push harder without distractions. Don’t just work off of the need for money. Work off of things that will drive results later. You will get everything you want and deserve on the back end, by focusing on the things you need and want on the front end.

1:00.3	seven days and nothing quote unquote happens. Everybody loves to use those words. Nothing happened
1:05.5	after the sixth or seventh day. And you tend to start beating yourselves up a little bit. I got to ask you a question, do you get unfat after seven days?
1:15.6	No, the answer is no, right?
1:17.5	This stuff takes time, everybody, right?
1:19.7	It took time to pile on the fat, so it's going to take time to burn the son of a gun off, right?
1:24.1	It's the same thing in business.
1:25.8	I want you to start thinking from this point forward
1:28.2	that your year is broken down into four 90-day cycles. Write that down, four 90-day cycles.
1:37.7	And the reason why this is so important for you to understand is because whether you want to
1:42.8	admit it or not, the excitement of the new year
1:46.1	is now gone. Write that down. The excitement of the new year is now gone. Okay. That's the reality
1:54.2	of things, guys. Whether we want to admit it or not, the excitement of the new year is gone.
