Summary

North Carolina’s size disadvantage against the visiting SMU Mustangs was proven null and void early and often as the Tar Heels locked up the visitors on the defensive end for most of the night and flashed enough on the offensive end to cruise to the 82-67 win in the Smith Center. The trio of RJ Davis, Ian Jackson and Drake Powell combined for 61 points while the total team effort held SMU to just 33 percent shooting on the defensive end. The Inside Carolina crew of Dewey Burke and host Tommy Ashley break down the positive vibes the win has created for Hubert Davis’s team and what lies ahead in Raleigh this Saturday afternoon. outstanding and one of the things that this team has not demonstrated

consistently this year is the point that I'm about to make, which is when you give excellent

effort, it covers up for mistakes. And look, we still missed rotations. We still missed closeouts,

1:39.8

missed boxouts, and gave up some easy baskets and maybe didn't guard as well the last 10 minutes of
