Summary

Virginia Tech brought the fight to Carolina in the first half. The Hokies worked the Heels up and down the floor and kept the vaunted offensive rebounding machine in the garage for the first 20 minutes. But even so, Carolina’s deficit was only three points and the third seeded squad, having played only two games in a month, were running near E. After the half, Carolina’s size took over with Armando Bacot turning in a dominant second half performance as Carolina eased away for the win and a semifinal ACC Tournament date with Florida State on Friday night.
