The polls have closed in Venezuela and with almost all of the votes counted, the incumbent

president Nicholas Maduro will be re-elected with around 68 percent.

Sunday was a very odd day for all of us covering the elections because we visited dozens

of voting centers on Sunday and it was just amazing how empty they were.
