The Pool of Bethesda, as we pick up in John chapter 5, verse 1.

And now with today's study, here's Pastor Chuck.

Shall we turn now in our Bibles to the fifth chapter of the gospel of John?

John is just recorded in the fourth chapter, the ministry of Jesus in the Galilee,

when he was at the city of Cana and the noble man came to him concerning his son,

who was sick, and Jesus spoke the word, and some 20 miles distance, the Spirit of God did a work

and healed the noble man's son.

So after this, that would be after his ministry there in Cana and the healing of the noble man's son,

there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market, a pool,

which is called in the Hebrew tongue, Bethesda, having five porches.

And in these there lay a great multitude of impotent folk, blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
