It's such a pleasure having you all along for the ride.

Well, folks, I'm excited about this holiday for a lot of reasons,

but particularly the holiday for this podcast, because I've got my first ever presidential candidate

on the podcast today.

Very excited about welcoming Democratic presidential candidate, Mary Ann Williamson.

She is an author and motivational speaker who was an anti-war activist and worked with

people with HIV and AIDS.

She has embraced liberal policies on climate change, universal health care and criminal

justice reform, and that's small L liberal.

Describing the country now as having a, quote, sociopathic economic system, which I want

to dive into with her about that, Ms. Williamson has embraced reparations to heal wounds caused

by slavery and has actually been sort of an out-standout candidate.

Even though she's not on the stage, she's still in the race.
