not the media. This is hell and that media the establishment media which guided the United States

and its citizens understanding of what reality is and what realities cannot be accepted and are dismissed out of hand.

That more traditional media is freaking out about losing the power to control the narrative

and losing that power to control the narrative and losing that narrative to up-starts in social media.

But what if that perceived power of social media reveals something deeper about the media

marketing, advertising, and all that's impact on

politics. If we take the focus off the supposed influence of social media we may be

in a better position to recognize the real source of our

current political divide. And that source cannot be simply altered by changing up an algorithm

to make it so. Suddenly we're all getting the allegedly right

information to make the right decision that has the right outcomes and when the

study of disinformation and misinformation cannot even define what

disinformation or misinformation is aside from sweeping generalities that

encompass almost all information.

Is a conversation on fixing the problem if there is one even possible. What if in reality

advertising has very little influence over us just like social media has little
