The pro-life movement is surprisingly young. For the Colson Center, I'm John Stone Street with the

point. An Atlantic reporter who visited last month's March for Life painted an encouraging picture.

This year's March was full of teenagers. Liberals might not know, she wrote, just how young the

March for Life crowd tends to be. She described groups of high schoolers and college students

who came from several

states away to march in the freezing cold. Statistics routinely show that younger people are the

most pro-choice demographic in the country. If that's true, the youthful March for Life crowd is

especially encouraging. Even if young pro-lifers are the minority, they're more mobilized, more

willing to face the cold and criticism,

and they're less quiet. In fact, the Atlantic reporter wasn't surprised only by the age of the

marchers. She also called the atmosphere hopeful, but kids are good at hope. And it's good to know

there's a generation coming up with the kind of energy it will take to confront the cultural

challenge of a post-row United States.
