If only, there was a word for that.

On the anniversary of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death,

the ACLU celebrated the liberal justice's legacy

with a slightly edited quote.

Originally, Ginsburg wrote this,

the decision whether or not to bear a child

is central to a woman's life,

to her well-being and dignity.

It's a decision she must make for herself.

In the Twitter post, the ACLU,

edited out the words, woman, her, and she from the Ginsburg quote and replaced them with

person, they, and them. The result was anything but quotable. Then, days later, a British medical

journal declared this. Historically, the anatomy and physiology of bodies with vaginas have been neglected.

If only there were a word for people who got pregnant or who have female body parts,

the push here to separate women from their bodies is weird.

But more than that, it's Gnostic.

It denies the physical reality of who women are.

You cannot champion women's rights if you deny who they are. For the
