Marriage still matters, especially for kids.

For the Colson Center, I'm John Stone Street with the point.

According to Pew Research, the U.S. has the highest rate of children living in single-parent households.

Almost a quarter of U.S. children under the age of 18 live with one parent.

Of course, there are many heroic single parents out there courageously committed to raising their children.

Yet, even so, decades of research show just how costly it has been for so

many children. Children of unmarried parents, on average, do worse than school, have poorer,

emotional, and physical health, are more likely to commit crimes, are more likely to have children

out of well-like themselves. See the sexual revolution decoupled sex from marriage while

insisting the kids will be fine. Well, overall, they're not. Christians

have to speak into this issue with truth and love, especially in a society that fosters adults

to seek their happiness at the expense of kids, redefining and reinventing family structures,

parenting, marriage. These have all had horrible consequences. On Tuesday, March 15th, we're partnering

with Focus on the Family to address this topic. Katie Faust, of Them Before Us, will teach us how Christians can
