When they say that we should be more like Europe, they don't typically mean in this way.

Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health.

The case is about a Mississippi law that effectively bans abortion after 15 weeks.

Abortion advocates claim this law and others like it, assault the basic rights of women and force them to have babies.

Well, just last week, the French National Assembly adopted a bill that extended the abortion limit in that country from 12 to 14 weeks.

Most European countries, in fact, restrict abortion to the first trimester.

But we keep hearing that a 15-week ban would effectively keep women out of full

participation in society. Look, the fact is, the U.S. has some of the most liberal abortion

laws in the world, laws that places alongside countries like China and North Korea. Eight U.S.

states allow abortion up to the moment of birth. So when the hysterics start, it's important to know the truth.

America's current abortion laws are extreme, not the restrictions that are being proposed.
