A few days ago, I got a very funny text.

It just read, Life Goal Achieved.

And then it linked to an article about how the sister wives, stars of a reality TV show about Mormon wives,

had visited a place out in the desert called the Plots Plot.

And the text was from David Plotz himself,

who was the former CEO of Alice Obscura and the namesake of the Plots plot.

So it took me a minute to do, there was some detective work.

There was a flurry of texting back and forth to figure out what, what David was talking

about when he wrote Life Goal achieved.

But the long and short of it is that the plot's plot, which is the only Atlas Obscira entry,

which is created by Atlas Obscira,, which was created by Atlas Obscira.

It had shown up in this reality TV show.

It had shown up on Sister Wives on TLC.

And it was, like, quite prominent.

It was not like in the background.

It was a whole big, important plot point around it.

And so this just set off a flurry of delight. The Alice

Obscure team is texting back and forth. We are watching clips of Sister Wives. It's a very funny,

strange collision of worlds. And in fact, a few years ago, we made an entire episode of this show

about the plots plot, about what it is, why we brought a shipping

container out to the middle of the desert and painted an orange and named it after our former
