college football voluntarily steered itself right into an iceberg and it didn't even realize.

Don't worry, we got a lot of things to talk about tonight. There's going to be some playoff,

but there's going to be about 80% of the show that is void of playoff talk. Because my theory is, if you want it, you can get it in like 47 different places today. But yes, true enough, we do have some things to say about that. But also, transfer portal, that's stuff that you guys have really cared about. You've been talking about it in every comment section and so there there are some positives, but I think there are some negatives and there are some visible negatives, but then there are also some things that may be a little bit beneath the surface. I'm going to touch on some of those tonight. Also, the Will Mushchamp email chain. He's been gone for a while, so you may wonder, what does Will Mushchamp have to do with tonight's show? Well, nothing in and of himself. But this week,

the state, just kind of a newspaper website in South Carolina, got a FOIA request finally granted,

and they got a lot of the emails, a lot of the internals from Ray Tanner, the AD there,

and what was going on via email, at least, behind the scenes in the week leading up to his

talked about a number of times on this show and it really chips away at the facade or façade

as uh as some people would say I'm not going to mention names about how thorough and how uh you know what'm going to save, I'm going to save the verbiage for when we get to it. But it's just, it's fascinating. Let me cough right quick. There we go. All right, now we're good. And also, there was a really, really good piece from Chris Hummer, who took a second and compiled some player development numbers today. Bama and Clemson, I don't think this is a shock to anyone, lead the way. There are just as many programs totally inept on the other side. Programs that have every major advantage or should have every major advantage in the sport, and yet they have squandered it. A lot of you would say, well, the playoffs the problem. The structure of the postseason is not the problem. The structure of athletic departments around here may be the problem, but nevertheless, we'll dive into that.
