This is the Pizza Surfers of New Jersey. Julia Vitale and her mom have arrived at Wildwood Boardwalk for a summer of Surf, Sea, and Pizza.

Their car is packed with suitcases,

beach chairs, and Julia's bright blue surfboard.

She lowers her window and takes a deep breath of salty ocean air.

Her mom turns up the radio. You're listening to 105.7, the rock and roll station of Wildwood, New Jersey.

The sun is shining, the waves are high, and the boardwalk is open.

Hundreds of shops and attractions lined the boardwalk, amusement rides, mini-golf, and a huge water park with a slide that stretches up to the clouds.

And most important of all, is a little storefront named Vitali's Pizza,

serving the best pizza in New Jersey for over 75 years.

Julia's mom runs the shop and before her it was Julia's mom's mom.

The shop is old but in a wonderful way. The ovens may be tired but they've been

firing for decades. She's so excited to be back.

Mom can you make me a pepperoni pizza?

Oh, of course!

Julia rushes inside. She turns on all the lights and starts up the oven.
