0:33.0	This story, the Phoenix Lights, is probably the most compelling
0:37.0	UFO story from the US because it was witnessed by so many people,
0:41.0	including the governor of Arizona at the time, Governor Simington.
0:45.6	These days the US Navy has confirmed the existence of UAP's, i.e.
0:50.6	UFOs.
0:51.6	But back in 2015, when this episode was made, we still had a lot of
0:55.6	doubters. It was one of our listener favorites that year. This one is short

1:37.8	most witnessed UFO sightings in the recent past commonly known as the Phoenix Lights.
1:45.0	On Thursday, March 13, 1997, at approximately 817 Mountain Standard Time,
1:52.0	callers from the Prescott Valley area west of Phoenix, Arizona, began
1:56.3	reporting seeing a large flying V-shaped object that was definitely solid because it blocked
2:02.4	out much of the starry sky as it passed overhead.
2:06.3	John Kaiser was standing outside his house with his wife and sons in Prescott Valley
2:10.9	when they noticed a cluster of lights to the west northwest of their
2:14.6	current position. The lights formed a triangular pattern but all of them appeared
2:19.2	to be red except the light at the nose of the object which was distinctly white.
