A compounded prescription is a prescription item where the pharmacist has to either mix or combine several ingredients to make a very individualized product for the customer. examples where you may need to go to a compounding pharmacy. Something very common right now would be

drug shortages. So if you're going to, you know, pain medication for your child, and you can't

find it anywhere because there's a huge run on it or antibiotics. Right now that's the current thing.

Then you go to a compounding pharmacy and we'll make it because, so that's a, you know, that's a solution to a problem.

If you're not able to swallow a pill and you need in liquid, but it doesn't come in liquid, You can go to a compounding pharmacy. We can do that.

There's just so many possibilities. We can make different dosage forms.

So, you know, an example would be pain.

We are trying not to get so many patients on opioids anymore because of the opioid epidemic.
