Now they scrapped divisions and they kept their nine-game in conference schedule, but

they added the protected games against rival opponents.

Now having said that, there's still some flexibility, which is a must as the ever-changing

landscape of college football continues to shift right before our eyes.

Now the SEC recently went halfway there, announcing they'll also scrap divisions once

Texas and Oklahoma jump into the league, but they didn't go as far as adding that nine-thin

conference schedule game.
