If you sat down with your grandpa and asked him to tell you about how he earned money back in his day, probably say something like,

I got a whole quarter for cutting the grass, milking the cows, and delivering the morning paper all before the sun came up.

I actually, A, I like your old man voice. Thank you.

And B, thank you for not saying, hey Wally, how'd you earn money?

But yeah, I get that. I find myself reminiscing and relating things back in my day.

When I was a kid, there's no way it costs this much, you know.

Well, nowadays things are much different. Piggy banks are a thing of the past.

Now the future is debit cards for kids.

Well, most major banks haven't jumped on board yet.

Fifth third bank is the first to offer a kid debit card along with other companies like Greenlight, Bamzu, and Gohinti.

But if you're not sure if you should start to put the allowance of your kid on a debit card,

here's a list of some things that of life lessons your kid could learn from having something like this.

So first off, if your kid has a debit card, it helps give them a stronger connection between work and money.

So that makes them make wiser purchases.

Right. If you're getting allowance money and you put it in this account basically.

Right. Exactly. It also teaches them to budget.

Okay. Also with putting something in savings or putting something in your account.
