This is the greatest hour to follow Jesus.

I want to continue to talk about the person of the Holy Spirit.

And I'm actually writing a bunch of papers on the Holy Spirit right now.

I'm taking a class on pneumatology, which is the doctrine of the Holy Spirit.

And I'd like to share some of what the Lord's been given me as I study I like to share some of that with you not to puff

ourselves up theologically but when you study the scriptures in the presence of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit becomes more real to you

and becomes your friend.

And more than that, he's much more than our friend.

But I would like to share some of this with you.

And I want us to begin just building a solid foundation in the person of the Lord. Now, how many of you know we have a Father in heaven? Raise

your hand. Okay. That's very literal. It's extremely literal. And when Jesus taught us to pray, he began by saying,

our father, who art in heaven, right? A lot's going on there, a ton. One of the things

happening there is the Lord is reminding us

that our father is different than our earthly father

say amen to that

we are to honor our parents no doubt

but there is a

distinction

between our father in heaven

and any other father on the earth and any other Father on the earth.

Notice that Jesus says he is not just my Father, but he is our Father.
