The more the world changes, the more we find comfort in things that never change.

Hello everybody and welcome the Rabbi Daniel Lapin show, episode 17 and on we go with the adventure of discovering how the world really works.

0:23.7

You know, one of the things that has become a habit with me over the years is people calling into my radio show to always say, so, you know, how are you?

0:35.9

And, of course, nobody really wants to hear that you've got a

0:40.4

blister under one toe and a touch of tennis elbow and a slight twinge in your knee. No, it's almost a

0:49.5

convention of social intercourse. How are you? And obviously, on the air, any kind of a lengthy

1:00.5

response is a sure signal to listeners to turn off or switch stations. So I years ago came up

1:10.6

1:38.8

plenty things that could be better. I could get my hair back. I could win the lottery, although that's obviously

1:45.0

questionable as to whether that is a true advantage, given typically what seems to happen to

1:52.3

the majority of people who do win the lotteries. But my point being, yes, certainly there are,

1:58.0

you know, there are things that could be. However, all of those would

2:03.7

sort of invoke miraculous powers. They would require for me to draw down on whatever

2:12.8

cosmic balance I might be fortunate enough to still have. And so when I say couldn't be better in the natural order of things,

2:21.3

in the way the world really works, couldn't be better, grateful, it's wonderful.

2:27.3

And that is absolutely true, in addition to being a fairly quick answer

2:33.3

that allows us to move onto more important things.
