If you'd go to Romans, please, the 12th chapter.

On Sundays here for the past few weeks, we've been on a series that we're calling the perfect will of God.

The perfect will of God.

And it comes from this passage here in Romans 12. Romans 12 1.

Romans 12 1 says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present

your bodies a living sacrifice,

wholly acceptable unto God,

which is your reasonable service.

Now you'll see in just a moment,

he's talking about the will of God.

And it is the will of God that after he has redeemed us and gives us everything, that we serve him, that we present

our body, our being, everything that's under our hand, it's just reasonable that we serve him, and that is his will.

Verse 2, be not conform to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind

that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Now the world, that doesn't refer to the earth.

That refers to all the ungodly people and institutions and things godless, ungodly.

And there are, sadly, millions and millions of people on the planet right now.

They have no interest in God or his will or his plan.

And we're told, don't just be caught up in that current of worldliness and ungodliness.

Most people are living, trying to live life on the earth like they're going to do this forever.

And they act shocked when somebody dies.

They just act like it's a total shock and surprise.
