This is the story of a dad who really wanted nothing more than to get his kids the most

perfectly perfect gift,

because until he'd been told otherwise, he was under the impression that he was an excellent gift giver.

While stepping out of his car after work one day, the dad heard the next-door neighbor's kid call over.

Mr. Neighbor, sir, would you like some help coming up with gift ideas for Zan and Sierra this year?

The dad, or as his kids often called him, Big Papa G, thought this was a rather odd thing for

Adeline to have said instead of a simple, good evening, sir. But he also knew that kids were

famous for saying weird stuff. It seemed like kind of their thing.

Thanks, Adeline, but I think I've got it covered. I have a feeling that this year's gift will be the most perfect gift yet. Adeline made a strange face as if to say, I don't know about

that, sir. And then to make it crystal clear, she said exactly that. I don't know about that, sir.

I've seen the kinds of gifts you buy, and there ain't nothing perfect going on there.

Zane and Sierra's dad dismissed this comment with a wave of his hand in a brief little,

Toot-Loo, little child.
