Summary

New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 29 Marxists use linguistic tricks. "Communists share your vocabulary but they don't share your dictionary" is a common way of putting it. One of the dirtiest of those tricks is on the word "people." Whether it's in establishing "Democratic People's Republics" or championing "the people's movement," Communists are always subtly telling us that the only people they count as people are Communists. 1:06.6	was meant to bring you to the people's standpoint to see the world from the position of the people.
1:13.3	The Soviets, obviously, were very interested in being the party of the people. So Communist
1:19.7	pretend to be a populist movement. In fact, Marxists.org, encyclopedia glossary of terms,
1:26.6	tries to pay to play off that the word the people refers to a populist movement, but it also
1:31.6	mentions explicitly on there that it does not refer to the ruling classes. They don't count
1:36.4	as the people. So then we hear about things like what we call North Korea, but they themselves
1:41.9	call the people's democratic republic of Korea. People's democracy is a concept in Marxist thought.
1:49.7	A people's democracy is a democracy for the people, not for anybody else. It's laid out
1:55.0	by Lenin in state and revolution, which he wrote in 1917 and 18 when he was taking over and
2:02.6	beginning the Soviet Union during the Russian Revolution and following that. And he defines there,
2:07.8	again, the same thing that the ruling classes don't count as the people. He says that a people's
2:12.3	democracy will raise the voice of the people and it will suppress those voices that they don't want
2:17.8	to hear from those that are among the ruling class and thus also those who support the system
