Make no mistake, we are who we spend time with — for better or worse. Whether it’s parents, mentors, friends, or extended family, we take time this season to let you in on the people who shape us, why connection is so difficult to find, and why we have to war for healthy relationships.

In this episode, we introduce season 4 talking about why healthy relationships seem so elusive, and what we have to do to find them.

0:00.0	We go home into our homes. We don't sit on our front porches anymore. You don't say hi to your neighbors. I grew up literally. I think I was the tail end generation. You would drive down the road and you would wave to the people you were passing. I mean, again, I grew up in a small town, but you knew them. You actually knew, oh, hey, there comes Johnny from down the road, you know.

0:24.0	And you're waving at each other as you're passing each other by.
0:29.0	And there was such a sense of beauty and connection in that.
0:34.0	Even though you didn't know where each other was gone and you might not be in your everyday life, but there was connection.
0:44.3	And that connection is possible. Even in this day and age of internet and screens, we just have to make choices to step out and risk. You have to risk.
