Last week we had a topical teaching titled The Power of Prayer and this week I sense

from the Holy Spirit that I was to do another topical teaching on prayer as well.

If you've been with us for the last couple three weeks you've probably noticed that we've been talking about prayer as well. If you've been with us for the last couple three weeks, you've probably

noticed that we've been talking about prayer a lot. And so tonight I've titled the teaching the

peace from prayer. This in concert with the power of prayer. And tonight I kind of want to zero in on the piece that comes from prayer.

You can see it there on the screen. Our text will be Philippians chapter 4, verses 6 through 8.

You can turn there, kind of hang out there for just a bit, and we'll get to that.

This particular passage of scripture has, for me, been a life passage in God's word. God has used it in my life over the years in a powerful

and profound way.

And as you're turning there, I want to also let you know that next Thursday, instead of a teaching,

we're actually going to have a prayer meeting.

And I hope you'll come out next week right here, 7 o'clock

p.m. And it's going to be an opportunity for us to have an all-church prayer meeting. And from

there, see where the Lord takes it. I, as I've shared with you in the past, have really had

heavily impressed upon my heart the need in the days in which we live to pray together as a

church together. And I'm really trusting that the Lord is going to take it from there.

It's been my dream, my desire for quite some time now to have monthly prayer meetings.

Of course I would love to have weekly prayer meetings and maybe that's where it'll eventually go and where

the Lord will eventually take us. And I also, now that we have our own beautiful church building,

I made the comment before we moved into our new church that I wouldn't make any changes for six months.

And I know that sounds real noble, doesn't it?
