Summary

Patrick answers listener questions about why we say “Amen” instead of “I believe”, what happens to the souls of unborn babies, did the Pope really say divorced and remarried Catholics can receive the Eucharist, and what exactly are “Gregorian Masses for the dead?”

  • Donna - Why do we say Amen instead I believe?
  • Linda - Who is Joyce Rupp and is she a good person? She’s a nun, but she doesn’t wear a habit. What is the difference between genuflecting and curtsey?
  • Manuela (22:56) - What happens to the souls of unborn babies and can Parents get Baptism of desire for them?
  • Cindy – There are Neo-Catechumens in our Church. Are they approved by the Vatican?
  • LuAnn (31:33) - My friend is divorced and remarried. She says the Pope said it was okay for her to receive the Eucharist. Can you provide clarity to this?
  • Judy - Can you explain Gregorian Masses for the Dead. Why are they not said by diocesan priests?
  • Mark - My friend is 7th Day Adventist and we are doing the bible in a year coarse. He said that Jesus in the Eucharist is a 'Sacred Symbol'.

Good morning. I have a quick question. I teach CCD at my church, and I was talking to the children

1:31.6

about the meaning of the word amen, and they wanted to know why we say amen instead of I believe.

1:38.7
