Summary

Patrick explains that spiritual communion is a heartfelt prayer inviting Jesus into our souls, especially when receiving Holy Communion isn't possible. Unlike regular communion, there are no rules or fasting requirements—only a sincere desire to unite with Christ. He also highlights the Relevant Radio app as a valuable resource for these prayers. So, whether at home or on the go, spiritual communion can be made anytime, anywhere.

Hello. Hi, Patrick. Patrick, I just wanted to ask you for a, you know, a Catholic person, a Catholic man, and, you know, he's married and then he loses his wife, can he join the seminary and become a priest? I mean, I heard of this thing in Canada, and I was just a little bit perplexed here. So I thought I'd I'd asked the question, but I never heard it before.

1:29.3

Yeah, so that's true.

There are hurdles that any candidate for the seminary has to go through.

1:40.4

And if he's accepted and the bishop says, yes, you can study for this diocese, or maybe there's a religious order that he might want to study for instead and become a religious, that is certainly something that has happened countless times over the years of the church's existence.

1:56.6

I don't know how often it happens much anymore, but I have known some men who, after their wives

have died, have gone on to become priests.

2:03.7

So, yes, that is a door that they could go through if they're accepted.

2:08.4

Okay.

2:09.3

All right.

2:10.1

Does that perplex you or bother you?

2:12.3

Because I would think it would be a great thing.
